Thank you for your interest in MS I’mpossible! We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to serving young adults under the age of 30 who have been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use the personal information you provide to us by donating to MS I’mpossible, by signing up for our newsletters, or by reaching out to us through our website.
We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection
The type of personal information (“Personal Information”) that we collect depends on how you engage with MS I’mpossible:
· If you sign up for newsletters or request other information from us, we will collect and store your email address and name in order to provide you with the information you have requested.
· If you provide a donation to MS I’mpossible, we will collect your name, email address, telephone number, and home address. We use a third party payment system to collect and process credit card or payment information; that information is not provided directly to MS I’mpossible.
· If you reach out to MS I’mpossible for consideration as a client or to access our network of resources, we will collect your name, email address, telephone number and some information about your health concerns. We ask that you do not share medical records with us.
· If you reach out as a potential practitioner, we will collect your name, email address, telephone number, office address and other information about your credentials as needed to ensure a good fit within our network.
Data Retention
We take measures to delete your Personal Information or keep it in a form that does not permit identifying you when this information is no longer necessary for the purposes for which we process it, unless we need to retain certain information as required by law. We retain Personal Information during any period in which you have expressed an interest in our organization. For clients and practitioners, we retain Personal Information during the term of your relationship with us and for up to five years thereafter as needed for recordkeeping purposes or as may be required by law.
Public Forums
We may make message boards, news groups and/or other public forums available to individuals who are interested in speaking with other people who have been diagnosed with or affected by multiple sclerosis. While these message boards will only be accessible to those who are registered users, any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when using these and avoid posting any personal information or health information on these public forums.
Service Providers
We may employ third party companies and individuals to perform certain tasks on our behalf. These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform such tasks and are obligated not to disclose or use your information for any other purpose.
Payment processing
Payments made on the site are made through our payment gateway provider. You will be providing credit or debit card information directly to the operator which operates a secure server to process payment details, encrypting your credit/debit card information and authorizing payment. Information which you supply is not within our control and is subject to the operator's own privacy policy and terms and conditions.
Communications
We may use your Personal Information to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send or by contacting us.
